OUTLOOK EXPRESS TIPS WITH SHORTCUTS

1) As you fill your address book, the contents will appear in the Contacts area, located at the lower left of the screen. Double-click on a name in the Contacts area to quickly start a new e-mail message.
2) To edit information in your addressbook, click Addresses on the toolbar, select a contact, and then clickProperties on the address book toolbar. Or, you can right-click on a name in the Contacts area and click Properties.
3)Insert sounds in your messages!
In a new message, click the Format menu, click Background and then click Sound.
4) Create signatures to personalize your messages.
Click the Tools menu, then Options, and select the Signatures tab.
5) To insert a signature in a new message, click the Insert menu in the new message and then click Signature.
If you created multiple signatures, select the specific one you want to insert from the list
 
E-mail message icons
The following icons indicate message priority, whether messages have files attached, and whether messages are marked as read or unread.
 
News message icons
The following icons indicate whether a conversation (a topic and all of its responses) is expanded or collapsed, and whether messages and headers are marked as read or unread
 
6) Using Outlook Express keyboard shortcuts
You can use shortcut keys to select commands and navigate through the preview pane and the message list. Except where indicated, shortcuts apply to both e-mail and newsgroups
